Food and Drink

Here at the Waterloo Arms Hotel we do our best to ensure that where possible, our food is locally produced and grown. All meals are cooked freshly on the premises under the auspices of our head chef John and his team.

We have a very popular bar lunch menu and our bar suppers are renowned for their fresh, local ingredients - we are proud to offer good, home-cooked food at reasonable prices.

Many of our regulars prefer to eat in the bar with its roaring fire, cosy atmosphere and local chit-chat. It’s also a smoke-free zone following recent legislation which means all licensed premises in Scotland are now non-smoking throughout.

We also have an outdoor area for al fresco eating and drinking - this area is sheltered from the elements and heated during the colder months.

Waterloo Arms Hote  also a traditional restaurant which like the rest of the hotel has been totally refurbished. It has a relaxed bistro atmosphere, but  is away from the bar area.

We also have a selection of fine wines to accompany your meal and our bar stocks over 30 single malt whiskies, spirits, various real ales, including guest ales and ice cold beers.
